Christmas!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We sure did. I thought I would share a few pictures.

This is Lindsay giving kisses to our bears. I put these by the front door during her nap. When she woke up and saw them, she couldn't leave them alone. She thought they were so cool!
During the month of December, I had a advent calendar to count down the days before Christmas. Each day we did something the girls could look forward to. Here are a few of the things we did.
Take a bubble bath in mom's BIG tub!
Build a gingerbread house

Some other things we did were make snowflakes, go out for ice cream with daddy, make snow globes for our grandmas and teacher, decorate cookies and look at Christmas lights. It was a lot of fun, and it kept us busy, especially when Emily was out of school!

This is Emily after her class Christmas Concert! She loves to sing and did a great job!
The girls got to sit on Santa's lap during our ward party. Lindsay wasn't even scared. She thought Santa was really cool and kept trying to see him when her turn was over!
Here is Lindsay at our Goodman Family Christmas Eve party. The kids got to exchange gifts, so it was a big hit to open one present before Christmas!
Here are the girls in their new pajamas. They get a new pair every Christmas. Emily loved hers because it was a kitty nightgown. I thought Lindsay's fit her pretty good because she is our little monkey!
"This is the best Christmas ever"-Emily
Palmer and my brother, Scott, worked many long days and nights at the shop building this playhouse for the girls. They love it! Emily wants to play all day, even if it's cold outside! (Yes, it has stairs and electricity) My mom even made cute butterfly curtains to put in it! They did a great job! Thanks for the house, Daddy!
We hope you all had a great Christmas this year!

Lindsay and I spent a little time during a particularly nice afternoon outside for some fresh air. I snapped this picture because Lindsay loved this rock! I even got a great video of her doing her "monkey" crawl to it, but i can't seem to get blogger to upload it. Oh well. She is walking now, so I guess monkey crawling is not that cool anymore!

Dr. Goodman

Emily saw this costume after Halloween and had to have it for her dress up box. She put it on as soon as we got home and played Dr. for the remainder of the afternoon.

She saw every one of her "patients", her stuffed animals, and placed a piece of masking tape on each one with a diagnosis. Here are a few she wrote down.
1. She is bledeg 5. She has a fefr
2. She has thu cod 6. She had a pil
3. She got pokt with a nedol 7. Her hort is not beteg
4. She had stof in hr ero 8. She had too shots
I love this kid!

Boo to You!

Here are a few pictures of our Halloween celebration! We had a great time and I even enjoyed dressing up this year! It started on Friday, when Emily participated in a costume parade at her school. It was fun to see all the kids in their costumes.
Saturday we woke up and put on our Halloween shirts! Too bad Emily wasn't a witch this year, we wouldn't have to fix her hair!
That afternoon we got the girls dressed up to go to Bashas. We got to go trick-or-treating to all the departments, ate cookies and apple cider, and entered the costume contest. Emily won "Most Cheerful"! I agree with the judges!
Lindsay could care less about the contest, she wanted to go back to the bakery for more cookies!
Here are the girls just before our Ward Halloween Party. Have you guess our theme yet?!
Ta-Da! Here we are at the party. Palmer was sick so he had to stay home. He's probably relieved, though, because I was going to make him dress up as the scarecrow! We had a lot of fun! Emily went trick-or treating with Brandon and Josh after the party. She came home with her basket overflowing! I guess she won't notice if a few pieces are missing! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Halloween Jars

I made this cute gift for Emily's teacher I thought I would share. I found a bag of gumballs that looked like eyeballs at Family Dollar. I printed out these awesome labels at LoveManor. I put the eyeballs in a jar, used mod podge to glue on the label, and decorated the lid with cute Halloween ribbon. Emily was so excited to take it to school today!

Pumpkins and Poems

Emily's school was having their annual Pumpkins and Poems contest. The kids can submit a Halloween poem or a decorated pumpkin. Emily was very excited. She asked me everyday if I bought her a pumpkin yet. I finally did on Monday. We were going to work on it for family night, but Emily couldn't wait. So right when she got home we worked on it until dinner time. She was so proud of herself. I was proud of her too! She did everything by herself, except for painting the pumpkin white. Good luck, sweetie!

Fun at the Fair!

Took the girls to the Graham County Fair this month. Emily had a good time, She went once with daddy where she got to ride the rides, and then the next day she got to go with me and Lindsay. We only did two rides, but we looked at a lot of exhibits. Lindsay loved to look at the animals. Her favorite was the chickens. We had a good time together.
Here are the girls on one of the four-wheelers we had on display. Emily wants one sooooo bad, because it is pink! Lindsay didn't like sitting on it so I had to take this picture fast!

Just a few pictures of our little Lindsay! She is growing so fast! I am so grateful that this sweet baby is all ours! I can't imagine our family without her!

Let Me In!!! Fun time at Grandma's house!

New York New York!

We just returned from a fabulous trip to NYC! Palmer and I traveled with Robert and Alisha Montierth. We had a great time! It was nice to get away and spend time with my husband and my friends. Here we are at Times Square. It was amazing! There were so many people! We came here several times throughout our trip.

We went to see Wicked on Broadway. It was really good. We spotted these posters while heading to Grand Central Station to buy our subway tickets.
Inside the Empire State Building

Another pic in Times Square
We were able to attend a session in the Manhattan Temple. It was really nice. As soon as you walked in, the hustle and bustle of the city disappeared.

We rented bikes to ride around. It was a lot of fun! We rode to the Brooklyn Bridge, through Little Italy, China Town and around South pier. What a blast!
We took a much needed rest while walking through Central Park. The weather was beautiful! I can't believe how big this park was!

Here we are at the top of the Empire State Building! 86 floors!
We also went to Connecticut for church, visited Ellis Island and the statue of Liberty. We ate at Tom's Restaurant (Seinfeld) and Lombardi's, the first Pizzeria in New York (1905). We did a little shopping and tried unsuccessfully to stay together while on the subway! We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the American Museum of Natural History. We had a really great time on our trip. Thanks, Palmer and Robert, for doing all the planning and for the memories!

Happy Birthday, Lindsay!

Yesterday Lindsay turned 1! Here are a few pictures from our day. I made cupcakes for her birthday. My first attempt failed so I started over. As I was mixing my next batch, Lindsay discovered quite the treasure! I turned around to find this mess! I think she would have been fine with the first batch!
Emily picked out a little cake for LIndsay. At fist she didn't know what to do with it until Palmer gave her a little taste. Then she was all over it!

Happy Birthday Lindsay!

Time for a snack?

No matter where she is, if Lindsay hears me open the fridge, she comes running..I mean crawling!

Rub a dub-dub

Lindsay made such a mess while eating her pudding, I decided it was best to just put her in the sink to clean her off instead of trying ti use a paper towel. It would have used a whole roll! She loved it!

Fun outside

We had a great time playing with our cousins at grandma and Grandpa's house. Brian and Angie came down from Sahuarita for the weekend. Calin brought his little car and it was the highlight of the night. The babies loved to get rides from the bigger kids.

Lindsay and Paetyn found a puddle to play in and soon lost interest in the car.

oh hum...

Ok, I need something to do. Emily is at school, Lindsay is taking her nap. I've done my load of laundry for the day and cleaned the bedrooms. I tried cleaning the office, but there is just too much paperwork to go through, so I figure I'll wait until Palmer gets home. My friend Tif is sick and I don't know what I can do to help her. I miss having her around! It's too hot to work outside, so I guess working in the yard is out of the question. I guess I just need to get a hobby, or maybe a little more motivation. The days just seem to drag. What do you do to keep busy? Help me get out of this rut!

First day of kindergarten!

Emily is finally going to school! She was soooooooooo excited today! She was ready by 7:30! It was a long hour for her before school started! We both did great when I dropped her off. She came home all smiles and can't wait until tomorrow when she can go again! She has a really great teacher and a few friends from Primary in her class. Lindsay and I don't know what we are going to do without her, but we are glad that she has reached this milestone in her life! Way to go, Emily!
America's Next Top Model!
She wanted to take a picture in front of the new grass.
She can't wait to run and play on it!

Camping Trip

We went camping with Grandma Goodman and with Angie and her kids. We had a great time! I guess I used my video camera more than I thought because I only have a few pics of Lindsay on my camera. Sorry Emily! I'll get the pics off my other camera soon and post them! But I couldn't resist posting these cuties!

10 months old!

I can't believe how big Lindsay is getting. Just wanted to show you this cute picture of her.

Here are a few pictures from Emily's Birthday. She invited a few friends and had a swimming party at Grandma & Grandpa's house. We had a Tinkerbell cake and ice cream and the kids swam thier hearts out! Emily loved all of her gifts! Th night Palmer and I took her out to eat at Casa. Her favorite restaurant is any one that she can order a tostada! We had a fun day! Happy Birthday, Emily! You are so big!
