Happy Birthday Emily!

Emily celebrated her 4th birthday on Friday the 27th. We didn't do a whole lot, but she thought it was great! All morning she kept asking when her birthday was going to be. We started the festivities with lunch at McDonalds with Grandma Goodman, Teesha and Mom. Then we went to Walmart and she picked out her cupcakes, half pink princess and half orange Kung Fu Panda. WE then went to Grandma and Grandpa Holt's house for swimming with the cousins. Lauren, Jared, Alisha and Camden Montierth came too.  We ate cupcakes, opened presents and went swimming. That evening Palmer and I took Emily to El Charro for dinner. We had a great day, and I think one of her highlights was getting a pet fish from Uncle Chris and Aunt Teesha. Thanks guys! Happy Birthday, Big girl! 

Camping June 2008

We just returned from a wonderful time on Mt. Graham. We went up to Treasure Park and camped about 5 days with Palmer's mom, Cheryl, and his sister, Angela, and her family. Then they went home and we were joined by Robert and Alisha and their family, and Josh and Natalie and Brandon for the next 4 days. We had a great time and I have to brag about the beautiful weather where it didn't get above 80 degrees! I wish I could spend the whole summer up there. We came back down Saturday to 108 degree heat! Emily had a blast playing with cousins and friends. It was non-stop fun! We had lots of crafts and activities for the kids. They even went treasure hunting. We saw a lot of wildlife. We caught big butterflies, saw a lot of deer, and we were even invaded by a pesky skunk that stayed near the entrance to our trailer when it found the M&M's that had spilled off the table there. We had to wait for him to get his fill before we could go to bed. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to going again someday soon.

Little Trip

Sorry I don't have pictures! I totally forgot my camera! We spent three days in Phoenix and had a blast. We stayed at the Point Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. We took Emily to Chuck E. Cheese, where she ate a whole piece of pizza! Hooray for Emily! We went swimming a ton! Emily and I spent about three hours at the hotel 's water park. We went shopping & went to see a movie too. We're able to have dinner with Brent and ThelmaJean and had a great time! Emily was so excited to see them and wanted us to go back to the hotel so she could get her suitcase and go home with them! On Saturday we  ended our day with my sister Lori's wedding reception.  Then we drove home. It was a great trip, and we didn't have to go very far. Emily says she wishes she lived at the hotel!
